THE TOUCHDOWN CLUB OF ANNAPOLIS - A HISTORY OF EXCELLENCE

Founded in 1955 to honor the U.S. Navel Academy 1955 Sugar Bowl Champions, the Touchdown Club of Annapolis is a longtime and well respected, non-profit organization, located in Annapolis, Maryland.

With a proud 70-year history of service to the Anne Arundel County underprivileged youth sports community, the Club now has over 350 devoted members and has transformed its original recognition into many dedicated missions.

Our primary focuses revolve around:

  • Supporting our local youth and high school sports programs
  • Recognizing and awarding outstanding athletic performances on the youth, scholastic and collegiate levels, including USNA and University of Maryland
  • Providing financial assistance on a selective basis to community programs and athletes in need

Yearly Events

In addition to giving back to the community, the Club holds many annual sold-out fundraising and appreciation events. With an August annual calendar start, our events kick off the very next month with:

  • Corporate Sponsorship Appreciation Event, toasting our longtime sponsors and welcoming our new ones – September
  • Golf Tournament at the highly sought after USNA Golf Course - November
  • Army/Navy Football Cocktail Party with Head Coach, Brian Newberry and Athletic Director, Chet Gladchuk in attendance - December
  • Football Awards Banquet hosting Navy Head Coach, Brian Newberry and University of Maryland Head Coach, Mike Locksley, along with well respected professional athletes as guest speakers - February
  • Army/Navy Cocktail Party with special appearances by Navy Men’s Head Coach Joe Amplo and Women’s Head Coach, Cindy Timchaw – April

***The Touchdown Club appreciates and welcomes all
recommendations of youth individuals or organizations that may need financial assistance throughout the year. They must be in Anne Arundel County and meet specific club guidelines.
